Pro Wrestling Review: John Cena detroying top heels

People are still stunned that at Money in the Bank 2013 wwe had Mark Henry tap out. Let me repeat that they had the biggest heel in the wwe today TAP OUT. Are you serious?

It really annoys me how wwe builds these people up just for the purpose of being beaten by John Cena without any thought for what they will do with the person after they lose. I wish that Mark Henry wouldn't have lost the match but why did they have to make him tap out. It really crushes his character, even though he did do a really good job on raw when the crowd was chanting you tapped out and he said " yeah I tapped out and he would've tapped everyone of ya'll too" that was an awesome job by Henry.

Still though it's hard for Henry to be able to say that he is a huge threat now after this. It wasn't like Cena beat him in that match but Henry had won the match before or that after months of dominating people as a champion he was finally defeated. He just had one match with Cena and Cena made him tap out. Also did him tapping out really do anything for Cena, no not really Cena could have won the match a number of different ways and it wouldn't have done anymore or less for him.

That's another thing when wwe builds up heels just so Cena can beat them then it doesn't feel like a very big win for him. He's beaten tons of different guys so why should they care that he beat Mark Henry. Now Henry has been a big heel for a while now but he hasn't really gotten any big wins or championships lately that would make people want Cena to take him down. Like CM Punk pointed out a few years ago John has lost the underdog factor that heroes are supposed to have. No one was thinking gosh Mark Henry has been destroying everybody, we need someone to take him down. Nobody was thinking that they were in fact thinking the opposite. There's not much reason for people to care that Cena was able to beat Mark Henry because he's just another one of Cena's challengers.

Now if Mark Henry had been wwe champion for months and Cena was the only person that was able to dethrone him then maybe people would care about it more. This goes even more for people like R Truth and Ryback that were made into main event heels right before their match with Cena only to be beaten by him and go fade into the background.

Lot's of people compare John Cena to Superman and while there are some similarities with wwe and superheroes there are also many differences. With superheroes at least in superhero movies each main hero has about 5 or so main villains. The villains are used for the single purpose of facing the hero and eventually being defeated by the hero in the end. The villains are usually only used in one, maybe two movies, if they are used again than it's usually in a new redone series with different actors. Look at these last three Iron Man films, in each one he had a different villain, in the spider man movies, he had a different villain each film. They don't have to worry about making the villain stay credible because the villain won't be around anymore in the series and if the villain is still around then it'll be in a few years when they make another movie. Wwe though is very different John Cena has to have an opponent every single month for each ppv not every few years like superhero movies.

Wwe has been treating John Cena like he is in Superhero movies, they build guys up just for the purpose of having Cena beat them and then have no idea what to do with them after that. Wwe only has so many people on their roster and they can't afford for Cena to run through them all. The heels need to be able to stay at the top level after their feud with Cena and that's not what's happening. Look at R Truth and Ryback their only purpose was to feud with Cena and now R Truth is basically a jobber and Ryback's character has been completely destroyed and by this time next year he's probably going be in the mid card or jobbing. Also look at Mark Henry, he was the best heel in the company and now after being beaten by Cena they're turning him face, one because he doesn't have a whole lot of credibility anymore after the way they made him lose and two because they don't have anything for him to do now that he's been beaten by Cena. Henry was only scratching the surface of what he could do in that position as a top heel but all wwe was interested in having him do was being beaten by John Cena.

Eventually when you just run through all the heels on the roster and make them all look like fools then you run out of people to face, that's why John Cena ended up facing John Laurinaitis in a match last year. Not to mention that it hurts other feuds because if the feud features somebody that Cena has ran through then they probably won't have very much credibility. CM Punk ran into the same problem as wwe champion in 2011 when he ran through all of the top heels and made them all look like idiots. Then he too ended up feuding with John Laurinaitis and when your to the point that you have to feud with John Laurinaitis then you know that there's a problem.

Wwe needs to stop building heels like superhero villains, for purpose of just being defeated by John Cena and start building them for the purpose making a top star in the company.

I really wish that Mark Henry would have won the match at MITB or at least stayed a top heel but unfortunately he didn't. I'm hoping that the reason for him not winning is so Daniel Bryon can get the big win over John Cena at Summerslam.

Still though this is something that they have to get sorted out because it's destroying all of their major heels and it also makes Cena's matches less enjoyable because you know that there's a good chance Cena will beat the person so there's no real point in getting into their character because they probably will soon fall back down the card.

Pro Wrestling Review: WWE Money in the Bank 2013 Review

What's up everybody and welcome back to Pro Wrestling Review, today I'm going to be giving my money in the bank 2013 review. The show overall was pretty good especially the two mitb matches.

Pre Show: WWE TT Titles: Roman Reigns and vs The Usos

I usually don't end up watching the pre show but I went out of my way to find this one because I really care about the shield. The match was very good with the shield picking up the win in the end.

I really wish that it wasn't on the pre show though and I think that one of the main reasons for that was because wwe new a lot of people didn't care about the match. The Shield has been in matches with main eventer for all of their existence until now, fighting guys like Ryback, John Cena, Daniel Bryon, Kane, Randy Orton etc. but now they are fighting people in the actual tag team division and it's making them seem less important. The Usos were just rushed up the card from basically being in the undercard and rarely ever being on raw let alone winning matches and now they're supposed to be a legitimate threat to the Shield's championship. Just like I said in my money in the bank preview the wwe having a terrible tag team division is now not just bad because the division is terrible but now it's actually really hurting a big group in the Shield.

Wwe has got to fix the tag team division, and they should have started months ago. They should have started building teams up like the Usos, the Prime Time Players, and other teams so that when the time finally arises, since the shield is the tag team champions they can face legitimate tag teams that people care about. Not just a team that we hardly ever see and is now rushed to being the # 1 contenders three weeks before the ppv.

Also I want say something about the pre show, this should be something that's free, maybe it get's fans pumped up for the ppv but it shouldn't be a big match. It should have guys from superstars or maybe main event that would have no chance of getting on the ppv if it wasn't for it. Not actual matches that are a part of the ppv card, not matches like Sheamus vs Damien Sandow. That was supposed to be a big match especially for Sandow, but it was on the pre show that A not many people watch and B it makes people think that the match isn't important. Damien Sandow would have looked a lot better with the mitb briefcase coming out the a big feud with Sheamus. It's been a long time since he was in a big feud but this feud wasn't big. Having it on the pre show really made it feel unimportant, than not to mention that Sandow lost the match, I guess having someone that your trying to build up win matches is a little bit too much for wwe to grasp most of the time.

They really do need to fix this because in the capacity that the pre show is in where it's somewhat hard to find especially if your watching it the next day and not a lot of people do watch it compared to how many people watch the ppvs, you shouldn't be having big matches on it.

Wwe didn't do the shield any favors either by having their match on the pre show. People already didn't care a lot about it since they were facing the Usos so they put it on the pre show, that really makes people think it's unimportant. That match was much too important to be on there and hopefully from now on they only put smaller matches on, put on people that have some talent but we never really see them because they're on shows like superstars, or maybe put on some guys from NXT and let the fans get used to them, not big matches with people like the shield.

WHC MITB Match: Wade Barrett vs Dean Ambrose vs Cody Rhodes vs Damien Sandow vs Jack Swagger vs Antonio Cesaro vs Fandango

This was really really good match, it was probably my favorite match of the night and even though the raw ladder match was great as well I think I liked this one a little bit better. There were tons of highlights in the match, at one point Dean Ambrose had a ladder on his shoulders and was swinging it around hitting people with it. Then Jack Swagger and Antonio Cesaro picked up the ladder with Ambrose still on it and he pretended like he was being chocked, then Ambrose tried to skin the cat on the ladder. On the second try he got it and was standing on the ladder that Swagger and Cesaro were holding, trying to get the briefcase. Next though Swagger and Cesaro through the Ladder with Ambrose still on it out side of the ring, sending him crashing to the floor.

At the end of the match Cody Rhodes hit the crossroads on almost everyone and then started climbing the ladder getting a big pop from the crowd. Eventually Dean Ambrose started climbing up too and at first Cody was able to fight him off but then the rest of the shield came in and pulled Rhodes off. The Usos then came in and fought off Rollins and Reigns. Ambrose tried to climb the ladder but Cody Rhodes pushed the ladder over and sending Ambrose falling onto the rest of the superstars. Then Cody started climbing up the ladder with the crowd really behind him and when he was just about to get the briefcase Damien Sandow his tag team partner pushed him off and climbed up to get the briefcase.

I really liked the ending to this match, it had me on the edge of my seat and it told a good story. I was expecting Dean Ambrose to win it but I'm happy and surprised that Sandow did. I've always been a big fan of him and I hope that they build him up right and that they do what they did with Dolph Ziggler last year, although having him lose his first match since winning the briefcase on raw this week isn't a good sign. I'm excited to see this feud between Cody Rhodes and Sandow and so far Cody's face character is going well but after seeing great potential with Dolph Ziggler's face character last month and then them messing that up I'm not to sure about it.

This was a really exciting match and if you haven't seen it yet I would suggest that you check it out.

IC Championship: Curtis Axel vs The Miz

I wasn't that exited about this going into it but once it got started it became not too bad of a match. At one point Miz pretended like Paul Heyman had punched him hoping that the referee would throw Heyman out so that he wouldn't interfere in the match. It ended up working and the ref made Heyman leave ringside. Now this probably wasn't a very good idea having Miz do that in Philadelphia where Heyman was very popular because the crowd ended up booing Miz.

Chris Jericho vs Ryback

This match was ok but with the build up too it I wasn't very exited about it, the whole cryback thing really destroyed whatever was left of Ryback's heel character and even though he did get the win by way of a roll up he would have probably been better off without this feud.

Divas Championship: AJ vs Katelyn

These two had a pretty good feud going into money in the bank and the reason for it being a good feud was basically just because it was a feud. Most of the time divas matches don't have a lot of build these days but this one really did. I fully expected AJ to win here mainly because she had only had the divas title for about a month and also because Katelyn started to get the upper hand in the segments on raw and smackdown. The match was ok but the one from Payback was probably better. AJ ended up winning with that awesome submission hold that's called the black widow I think.

A lot of people seem to be getting into the divas division a little bit more lately because of AJ being champion and hopefully wwe can find a way to sustain and get more of this interest. I'd like for them to get some more divas that are acually good wrestlers like AJ

WHC: Alberto Del Rio vs Dolph Ziggler

This was a really good match, the ending came when AJ came out and started skipping around the ring, Dolph told her to leave but she didn't. Eventually Alberto Del Rio pulled down his knee pad so that he could use his knee brace to hurt Ziggler. AJ got in the ring and hit Alberto with her divas championship to I guess protect Dolph. The ref disqualified Ziggler for her interference and Del Rio retained the championship.

The ending didn't really make sense because AJ had to know that Ziggler would get disqualified for it but she did it anyway. Even though that didn't make sense at all the match was still very good as was their rematch on raw.

WWE Championship: John Cena vs Mark Henry

The feud going into this match was very good and it had a lot of people including myself convinced that Mark Henry had a good chance of winning the wwe championship, unfortunately though he didn't. The match itself was ok, the beginning was pretty good with Mark Henry really dominating Cena. Eventually John Cena had Henry in the STF and Henry got to the ropes but Cena pulled him back and put him in it again, then Mark Henry ended up TAPING OUT. Let me repeat that they had the biggest heel in the wwe today TAP OUT.

I ended up making another article in respnce to this and about how wwe makes these top heels just for the purpose of being beaten by Cena and then sliding back down the card. I had a lot to say in it so i went ahead and made it a completely different article so once you get done reading this one be sure to check that out as well. I'll just say this though, there were many less character damaging ways that they could have ended this match other than making Mark Henry TAP OUT and I think that he could have done a lot more as a top heel. Be sure to check that other article out it's called Pro Wrestling Review: John Cena destroying wwe's top heels. It has a pitcure of John Cena dressed up as Superman on it, hard to miss.

WWE Championship MITB Ladder Match: Daniel Bryon vs Randy Orton vs Christian vs Sheamus vs CM Punk vs Rob Van Dam (All Star Match)

This was a really fun match to watch and like I said before the whc one and this one were about equal. This was also a very brutal match, as we heard about on raw Sheamus had some big bruises on his legs, Christian's tooth got messed up and both RVD and CM Punk had to get staples. Daniel Bryon and CM Punk started out the match hopefully foretelling of things to come with those two eventually. One thing that kind of surprised me but didn't hurt the match any was that Kane was not replaced in it. They could have had the Wyatts debut the week after MITB though because then Kane still could have been in the match.

Like I said before there were a lot of very brutal spots in it such as when at one point Sheamus was on the ladder and it was pushed over by someone and he fell onto the side of the it. That was kind of a cringe moment but luckily he was ok.

Near the end of the match Daniel Bryan was climbing up the ladder and it looked like he was going to win until Curtis Axel came in and layed him out. Then Axel turned around right into a GTS from CM Punk. Next Paul Heyman came out and started yelling at Axel saying that CM Punk is his best friend and asking Axel why come out. That didn't really make sense because if it wasn't for Axel, Bryan would have won and then and Punk would have lost the match. It doesn't really matter though because it was all a hoax by Heyman and Axel.

So then Heyman is chanting for Punk and Punk climbs up and is about to win when Paul Heyman gets in the ring and starts hitting Punk with a ladder multiple times. I really liked how they did this and I've really been enjoying this feud between Punk, Lesner, and Heyman.

Lastly Randy Orton comes in the ring and he might have RKOed someone, I can't remember but he climbs up the ladder looks around and everybody's layed out. He acually was looking around for a while so I wonder if he was thinking that somebody was supposed to come in the ring but no one did and he reached up and grabbed the MITB briefcase, winning he match.

I'm happy with Orton winning it was nice to see him back in the main event picture on raw, I just hope that he doesn't get another wellness violation, especially when he's champion because that would be a problem for wwe. I was originally thinking that Daniel Bryan would win it but he has his match for the wwe title at Summerslam so now we get Randy Orton as a future wwe champion as well, I'm ok with that.

This was a good ppv as most MITBs usually are, the two ladder matches were awesome and we also had a really good match between Dolph Ziggler Alberto Del Rio. If you haven't seen this ppv I would recommend that you check it out.

Pro Wrestling Review Fantasy Booking Edition: The Wwe Title From Summerslam to Wrestlemania

Hello everybody, I know that I haven't uploaded my Money in the Bank Review yet (which I'll do tomorrow) today though is the 20th edition of Pro Wrestling Review and I want to talk about something different, I want to talk about this week's raw and the possibilities coming out of it now that Daniel Bryon has been named the number one contender to the wwe championship. I'm going to take it from when Bryon hopefully wins the wwe title at summerslam and give my version of how it could be booked all the way up until wrestlemania 30.

First off I really liked the way it was done naming Bryon the # 1 contender, having the fans chanting for him and then Cena finally picking him. He has been on fire these last few months in more ways than one. A he's been getting the biggest pop of anyone in the company but B and one of the reasons for the big pop is he's been on fire in the ring. I love when he gets on a roll and is going all over the place kicking people, doing dives onto them, and just having an intensity level that is unmatched in the company. I think that he really deserves this big match at summerslam and it's been amazing to watch his rise to to the top. I also think that he has to win at summerslam otherwise it will kill lot's of his momentum.

So how I'm thinking it could go in this fantasy booking edition of Pro Wrestling Review is that he wins at summerslam and this solidifies him as one of the top stars, right up there with John Cena and CM Punk and I guess Randy Orton if you still consider him up there. I would also like to see Cena tap out to the Yes lock, this would really establish him, making John Cena someone who I don't think has ever tapped out since he came the main event, tap out. A lot of people criticize that Cena doesn't do enough to make new stars and that he actually destroys many of them but I think that here John Cena has the opportunity to create the next top guy and he needs to take the loss and put Bryon over. Even if Bryon doesn't get the tap out win because that may be asking a little to much of John Cena, winning the title from him in the main event of summerslam will still do wonders for him. And hey then maybe the internet fans won't hate Cena as much if he puts over Daniel Bryon......no they probably still will.

Night of Champions

So then at night of champions we could have a rematch from summerslam. John Cena and Bryon have a great match until at one point Bryon is outside of the ring and out of nowhere Randy Orton (who has turned heel by now) comes and RKOs him. Then he throws Bryon in the ring and ends up RKOing John Cena too. Now Randy is getting ready to cash in the money in the bank and everyone thinks that Bryon's reign is over when RVD who Orton had just beaten uncleanly before at the ppv comes out and attacks him and the night ends with them brawling outside of the ring and no cash in.

Over the Limit

The next night on raw RVD defeats Randy in the main event with the help of of John Cena's music coming on during the match. Now Randy and Cena go into a feud for over the limit since Randy cost Cena the wwe title at night of champions. The next week they have a battle royal to determine the number 1 contender to the wwe title and RDV wins becoming the new # 1 contender.

Bryon and Van Dam have a classic match at over the limit with Bryon picking up the win with the YES lock. Cena and Orton's match ends in a count out for both of them.

Hell in a Cell

Cena says on raw that since he never lost his rematch against Bryon because of being disqualified by Randy Orton he should get another match for the the title. Brad Maddox makes the match and in the main event of raw Cena and Bryon are teaming together against let's say The Real Americans Jack Swagger and Antonio Cesaro. During the match though Mark Henry's music hits and he returns from being gone ever since the Shield layed him out. He jumps in the ring and ends up laying out Swagger, Cesaro, Cena, and Bryon. Then he goes in the back and pulls out Brad Maddox, he forces Maddox to make the match at Hell in a Cell a triple threat match with himself in it. Then once Maddox eventually does he hits him with the world strongest slam, goes to the ring and holds up the wwe championship surveying his damage.

Then a few weeks later at Hell in a Cell they have the triple threat match for the wwe championship. Near the end of the match Bryon goes to do the suicide dive thing he does, to Henry but as he's coming toward Henry, Henry who is outside of the ring avoids impact by throwing Daniel against the hell in a cell steel cage side so hard that it breaks leaving Bryon layed out. Next Henry stops Cena who is about to jump off the top rope onto him. He goes over to him but Cena who is still on the top rope lifts Mark up for AA onto a table that's in the ring. Cena isn't able to deliver it to Mark though because he's too big and Henry is able to get down on the ring apron and he throws Cena, who is still on the top rope threw the table that was in the middle of the ring. Then Henry gets on the top rope and does worlds strongest splash or whatever it's called onto Cena and pins him to win the wwe championship. While this is happening it shows Daniel Bryon trying to crawl his way heroically back to the ring but he just can't make it in time due to being thrown threw the Cell wall.

I really wanted to make sure that I put Mark Henry getting the WWE championship in here because I felt like he got the short end of the stick at money in the bank. I think they didn't want to give him the wwe title because they are saving that for Daniel Bryon at Summerslam and they wanted Bryon to face Cena. I think though they could have done Bryon vs Henry at summerslam though if they had had Henry win the wwe title at extreme rules, then he would have had a long enough title reign and Bryon beating him would be a big deal. Also we could have just kept Ryback face and not had him turn heel, that would have been nice.

It would have probably been a lot harder to do Bryon vs Henry at summerslam if Henry had won the championship at money in the bank because he wouldn't have held it long enough for people to really want him dethroned. If he had won it at Extreme Rules though then he would have had a long enough title reign and he would have really been established as the biggest heel in wwe. Then it would mean just as much when Bryon beat him at summerslam as it would Bryon beating Cena. They didn't end up doing that though but if wwe follows how I'm booking it then he'll still get the title.

Survivor Series

The next night on raw Daniel Bryon comes out without the wwe championship, looking very jacked up from the night before. Right when he's about to speak Mark Henry's music hits and he comes out with the wwe championship. He says that he's not finished yet and he runs into the ring to attack Daniel Bryon. Bryon tries to fight him off but he can't due to his injures from hell in a cell and they fight outside the ring. Mark Henry eventually hits him with the worlds strongest slam through the announce table.

Later on during the night Henry is cutting a promo about finally becoming wwe champion and he says that he is better than everybody else in the company. Then Cena comes out, looking very angry and cuts a promo on Henry. Just when it looks like they're going to come to blows Brad Maddox comes out and says that since Bryon isn't medically cleared for survivor series it will be John Cena vs Mark Henry in a no hold barred match for the wwe championship at the ppv. Still mad at Mark Henry for attacking him a few weeks before he announces that another person who is mad at Mark Henry will be the special guest referee and that person will face the winner of the match at TLC. Daniel Bryon's music hits and he hobbles out still injured chanting along with the crowd Yes Yes Yes.

During the feud between these three Mark Henry tells Daniel Bryon that if he doesn't win that he will end Daniel Bryon's career.

At survivor series they have a good no holds barred match, going through the arena fighting and teasing interference from Daniel Bryon. The match ends when Bryon is getting so mad at Henry because Henry keeps provoking him that he jumps on Henry and starts fighting him. John Cena though pulls him off and tells Bryon that he has it and turns around right into a world strongest slam. Daniel Bryon unwillingly counts to three and Mark Henry retains the WWE championship.

Henry turns around and trys to give Daniel Bryon the worlds strongest slam too but Bryon mad that Henry suckered him in to distract Cena counters it into the Yes lock. Henry eventually rolls outside the ring and the show ends with Bryon and Henry yelling at each other, and actually Daniel Bryon yelling yes also. The announcers talk about how these two will face each other for the wwe championship at TLC and the show goes off air.

One of the reasons for this story line is if Daniel Bryon was injured like CM Punk was last year this story line could work.

TLC

The stimulation for this match is a Tables ladders and chairs match. After a big feud they have the match at TLC, they throw each other through tables, hit each other with chairs and ladders and try to climb to the wwe championship. In the end Mark Henry thinks that he has laid out Daniel Bryon but not quit, after yelling at fans he climbs up and is nearly at the top when with the crowd chanting for him Daniel Bryon gets up and pushes the ladder down. Henry falls through two tables outside of the ring and Bryon climbs up the ladder to regain the Wwe Championship.

Later on they have a last man standing match on raw that Daniel Bryon wins by jumping out the way of a spear by Mark Henry, sending Mark through a table. Bryon then jumps off the top rope onto him and is the only one able to get to his feet thus winning the match.

Royal Rumble

Brad Maddox announces that a very special person is returning and as part of the contract the person gets to have a match for the wwe championship at the Royal Rumble. They air promos for the person and a few weeks later Chris Jericho returns in some very cool fashion that I'm to tired to think of, only this time he is a heel. He says that throughout all of his 2013 run he did everything for fans and he only won one out of five ppv matches and didn't win any titles. He says that now he's more ruthless and aggressive than ever before and that he will win the wwe championship.

After a great feud they have the match at the Royal Rumble. Bryon ends up retaining the title after delivering a big kick to Jericho's the head. CM Punk also ends up winning the royal rumble match. I would liked for that go to a younger star but for the purpose of getting to the match that I want at wrestlemaina and since Punks has never won it before I'm gonna give it to him.

Elimination Chamber

Not much to talk about booking wise here, they have the normal elimination chamber match and Bryon ends up winning. He has a good performance in the match, pinning and making several wrestlers tap out. After he wins though CM Punk who hasn't chosen who he will face at wrestlemaina yet comes out to his music and stares at Daniel Bryon, signaling that he chooses him.

Wrestlemania

The grandest stage of them all!!! I'm not sure if CM Punk should be a face or heel here, I think I'm going to keep him face though just so I can have a different moment with him later. Daniel Bryon and Punk have a big face vs face feud, they also bring the best in the world title into the feud as well.

At wrestlemania they have a great match that's around 40 minutes, I would make it an Iron Man match but then they would probably run out of time on the show. After a very hard fought match by both parties Bryon getting the win in the end. Then Bryon and Punk shake hands but as Bryons walking away CM Punk GTSs him turning heel. Now we hear Randy Orton's music starting to play and he comes out with the mitb briefcase. He cashes in and Bryon tries to fight him off but too exhausted from the match and the GTS from Punk he can't and Randy Orton wins the Wwe championship!

So this leaves us with a heel Randy Orton who is once again the wwe champ, a top face in Daniel Bryon, a heel Punk also not to mention John Cena, Mark Henry, and Chris Jericho who are all still lurking somewhere.

So that's some of how I'd book the wwe championship from Daniel Bryon winning it at summerslam to Wrestlemania 30. Seeing raw this week really has me exited for summerslam and really exited for Daniel Bryon as WWE champion. Like I said before I'm a huge fan of Daniel Bryon. I would encourage you if your a fan of him also and if like me you really want to see him get the wwe championship and be one of the top guys in wwe then maybe go out and buy a Daniel Bryon t shirt if you can, I'm gonna be picking one up soon myself. Also if your someone that usually doesn't order ppvs I would encourage, if you the means to, to buy Summerslam. If you like Daniel Bryon in the main event and as wwe champion then buy summerslam and show Wwe that it's a good idea for them to have him as one of their top guys.

Pro Wrestling Review: Money in the Bank 2013 Predictions

Welcome back to Pro Wrestling Review today I'm going to be giving my predictions for WWE Money in the Bank.

Pre Show: WWE TT Championships The Shield's Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins vs The Usos

I've enjoyed the build up to this match with them really acually building up the Usos. I think that now is the perfect time for wwe to get their tag team division back together, with the interest that fans have in the shield right now they can use that to help people get behind other teams that challenge them. I like what they're doing with the Usos and I'd like to see them build up other teams like Team Rhodes Scholars and the Prime Time Players, maybe even turn the prime time players face. I'd also like to see them reform the team of Justin Gabriel and Tyson Kidd whenever Tyson Kidd gets back from injury. Also maybe they could make some new teams and possibly bring some more people up from nxt for the tag team division.

This should be a very good match although I wish that it wasn't on the pre show, I would have much rather had the IC title or divas title match be on it rather than this one. They need to make it feel important and putting it on the pre show doesn't really do that. I see the Shield retaining and maybe they'll have a rematch at summerslam, I'm not sure.

Pick: The Shield

IC Title: Curtis Axel vs The Miz

This has been an ok feud and should beat least a semi decent match. Having Paul Heyman with Axel really helps him a lot and I see him probably retaining. Although he was a last minute entry in the three way match at Payback after Fandango got injured so the original plan could have been to put the title on Miz so maybe they'll do that here. I'm still gonna go with Axel to retain, having the title on him kind of legitimizes him so it would be good for him to keep it. Also it would be a pretty short title reign if he were to lose it here.

Pick: Curtis Axel

Divas Title: AJ vs Katelyn

For the first time in a long time there is acually a feud leading into a divas match. I'm glad that AJ is the champion now because she's very good in the ring and on he mic. The feud has been somewhat entertaining, Katelyn is basically really mad at AJ and wants to beat her because she's been making fun of Katelyn throughout this whole feud. Hopefully wwe will keep having actual feuds for the divas division. This could just be for the premier of the Total Divas reality show though, maybe they thought they should acually do something with the divas since the show is all about them.

AJ is very good in the ring so it should be a decent match and hopefully there are some cool spots. I'm gonna go with AJ for the win since she just recently won the title.

Pick: AJ

Chris Jericho vs Ryback

I had completely forgotten that this match was even on the card until I heard someone mention it. At first I was somewhat disappointing that Chris Jericho wasn't in the money in the bank ladder match but I figured that since he's going to be leaving to go on tour with Fozzy for a while soon and might not be at Summerslam it would probably be a better use of him putting Ryback over than it would be having him in a ladder match that he wouldn't win. After seeing the feud though I have a different opinion, they now have Ryback calling off matches saying that he can't continue. Also Jericho is now calling Cryback. I already didn't like Ryback as heel because it doesn't seem believable that he has to cheat to win but now they're having one of the biggest guys in the company call call off matches because he can't continue? Are you serious? I don't see what it is they're trying to accomplish here, it's not doing him any good at all and it's completely destroyed his big monster character that he's supposed to have. This feud with Jericho should be about maintaining him as a top star now that he's done feuding with Cena but instead they're destroying him, this doesn't even do the feud any good either. Even if he does win on Sunday this feud has done him a lot more harm than good and I just don't see what the thought process is behind this Cryback thing at all.

It's also sad because this is probably Jerichos last ppv match in this run and they're having him waste it on a feud that's destroying someone that's supposed to be a top star, it just doesn't make any sense. They should probably have Ryback leave and then come back as a face because this heel character isn't working.

Pick: Ryback

WHC: Alberto Del Rio vs Dolph Ziggler

This should be a pretty good match and the feud has been ok but so far I'm not really liking Dolph Ziggler's face character. I really really liked it the first week or so when he was just kind of crazed and kept wanting to attack Alberto Del Rio, almost kind of an unstable character. Now though he basically has the same character that he had when he was heel except he smiles and fights heels. He still is cocky and a show off and still does the same heel entrance to the ring. It's looking like this is going to be what his character is from now on and I don't really like it. They need to make some major changes to his character because compared to what it looked like he was gonna be right after Payback this character's pretty bad.

I'm guessing that Del Rio will will retain since Ziggler's face character isn't that great right now. It should be a very good match though.

Pick: Del Rio

WHC Money in the Bank ladder match
Participants: Damien Sandow, Cody Rhodes, Antonio Cesaro, Jack Swagger, Wade Barrett, Fandango, Dean Ambrose

This should be a pretty good match. As for who I think will win, ever since Fandango came back from injury he's just kind of been a joke to me but they were pushing him very hard when he debuted by beating Chris Jericho at wrestlemania so you never know they could have big plans for him. I don't think he's ready for a world championship at all though, he needs to go into some serious feuds to make people take him seriously again.

So I don't really see him winning, Damien Sandow and Cody Rhodes I kind of doubt also. Cody needs to be built back up to where he was a year ago and as big of a fan as I am of Sandow I don't see him winning it either. He needs to be built up more, maybe next year he'd be ready. I do think we could see the breakup of team Rhodes Scholars because every single time that Damien Sandow is on the mic or in an interview he talks about how he and Cody Rhodes won't breakup as a result of that match so I'm guessing somethings going to come of it since he mentions it so much. If they do break up I could see them maybe turning Cody face since his heel character really isn't working anymore and he hasn't been babyface very much. I'm not sure how good he would be as a face though and I know how great he was as a heel back in 2011 and early 2012 so I'd rather see him go back to that. I don't see Sandow turning face so maybe it would be a heel vs heel feud. If they do breakup I want it to be done the right way with a big feud between them not just a match on smackdown and then it's over.

Jack Swagger, after the DUI that he got a couple months ago I don't see him winning and Antonio Cesaro...maybe. He'll be my dark horse choice for this match, he's gone down a lot from where he was when he was U.S champ so it would probably be better to wait until next year after Zeb Coulter has hopefully fixed him up. I could possibly see him win it but I would be very surprised.

That leaves us with Wade Barrett and Dean Ambrose. I would love to see Barrett win it but he's not been built up for it at all and after the build they gave Dolph Ziggler when he had it I'm afraid that they wouldn't build Barrett up enough and then he would be without any build when he eventually won the world title just like what happened to Dolph Ziggler. I still could see him winning it, he's my second choice.

My pick to win it though is Dean Ambrose. Out of all the people in this match he has the most momentum behind him. The shield has kind of gone down some mainly because they're not facing main eventers like Daniel Bryon, Kane and Randy Orton anymore. They're facing a real tag team in the Usos and like most tag teams today in wwe they've had no build at all these last few years so no one cares about them, because of that people care less about the shield. So wwe's acually hurting a big group in the shield by not having a good tag team division. Then of course like pointed out before there's the fact that the match is on the pre show also.

I think that giving Dean Ambrose the money in the bank briefcase though might be what the shield needs to re-elevate itself. Ambrose is definitely a great choice and he tons of talent, I've even said before that I think he has what it takes to be the next top guy, someone like a stone cold. He's good in the ring, great on the mic, a great actor, and he's unique, there's something different about him and in wwe that's a good thing.

I am worried though because I'm such a big fan of Ambrose that if he wins wwe will do what they've done many times before with Daniel Bryon and especially Dolph Ziggler and not build him up at all once he wins the briefcase. Ambrose is good enough though that I think he might be able to overcome that.

We also don't know what Dean Ambrose will be doing when he cashes in if he should win it, he might not be with the shield anymore and out on his own. I think giving it to Ambrose is a good choice and it sets him up for after the shield disbands he can take that momentum and use it to bring him into the main event. It also like I said before could help re-elevate the shield.

Pick: Dean Ambrose

WWE Championship Money in the Bank ladder match (All Star Match) CM Punk, Daniel Bryon, Randy Orton, Christian, Sheamus, Kane (possibly), and Rob Van Dam.

They didn't call this an all star match for nothing, I think this is a great paring of wrestlers and it should be a great match. Let's take a look at the people involved, first Christian. I would love to see Christian win the wwe championship but I'm not sure if wwe does, Christian was great as world heavyweight champion in 2011 but when he returned last year and this year wwe has kept him away from both world titles. I don't know what the reason is for that but I hope that they get over it soon because he was a great champion before. I doubt Christian will win the match but I'd love it if he did.

Next Sheamus, I seriously doubt that wwe would put him anywhere near the wwe championship with his current gimmick but if he were to turn heel then maybe. Perhaps they're going to turn him after he wins it and they don't want to do it before because they want his win to really be a surprise. I don't really think they're going to do that though and I would be very surprised if he won.

Kane, Kane was attacked by the Wyatt family in their debut on this week's raw and it is up in air as to whether or not he will be in the match. If he's not I could see Bray Wyatt taking his place and really solidifying the Wyatt faction by hopefully having a good performance in the match. I don't expect him to win it though, that would be too early but maybe the Wyatt family can go on to feud with Kane. We could also see the return of someone that is somewhat known for ladder matches, someone like Evan Bourne, John Morrison, or Shelton Benjamin.

Then of course we have the returning Rob Van Dam, I've always been a big fan of him and I'm really glad that he's coming back to wwe. I can't wait to see the matches that he can have with people that have arrived since he left such as Dolph Ziggler and Daniel Bryon. I like how they've been really hyping up his return for money in the bank and not having him come back on raw just like they did with CM Punk last month. I don't see him winning the briefcase because I don't think he needs a championship for people to care about his matches since he's just returning but it will be great to see him in this match.

Now these last three are the people that I really think could win it. First Randy Orton, he hasn't really done much this last year and a half and I think that's mainly due to his wellness violation about a year ago. It was his second one so if he gets one more than going by the policy he would be put of wwe for at least a year. So if they put a big title on him and he gets another violation then they're in trouble.

It has been over a year though so wwe might be ready to give it a shot with him again, I would have thought that they'd have given him the world heavyweight title though since they don't care about that one as much. If he does win it I'm guessing he would turn heel. He should have turned probably a year or two ago and I've heard that HE has even said that he wants to turn heel. They had an opportunity to do it in his feud with Daniel Bryon but maybe they didn't want to yet for the same reason I talked about with Sheamus and that is if someone turns right before money in the bank then people might expect them winning more. I would be a little bit surprised but I could definitely see him winning.

These next two I think really have a good chance of winning, I could see wwe having Punk win as a way to get him back into the wwe title picture, kind of like they did with Cena last year. With Cena though they completely messed it up and he didn't even win the championship so it made the prestige of mitb go down and he didn't benefit from really it at all. I'd kind of like to see someone besides Punk win it since he's already a main eventer and he doesn't really need it at all to get him back into the title picture. After what they did with Ziggler's run though I don't really care anymore because of they put it on a young guys then they'll probably screw it up again. Punk would be able to say that he's the only three mitb winner and he could give that as a reason to why he's the best in the world.

Daniel Bryon is my pick though, like I talked about earlier though I'd be worried that they would stop pushing him once he won it like they did with Ziggler and him when he won it two years ago. If wwe keeps pushing him and uses it right on him and makes him into a big star than maybe people would get back behind the mitb idea. I'm less certain that he's going to win now after this week's episode of raw. At the end of raw Bryon was standing tall having taken down the mitb briefcase, usually when people are standing tall at the end of the episode before mitb they don't end up winning it. It could be though that wwe is so behind Bryon that they decided to have him stand tall on raw and win on Sunday.

If Daniel Bryon does win it I really hope wwe uses it right on him and that they put him in some big feuds and capitalize on all of the momentum that he has right now. I'm really getting behind Bryon, he really has the ability to get fans behind him and I've been a big fan of him ever since he turned heel last year. He has tons of talent and I think he's going to be a huge star in wwe.

Pick: Daniel Bryon

WWE Championship: John Cena vs Mark Henry

This has been a pretty good feud especially with the shocking retirement act by Mark Henry to start it. I've been very entertained by it and I'm hoping that Mark Henry wins on Sunday. He's probably the best heel that they have right now and he's around 40 years old so he might not be in the company that much longer. I think need to give him the title because Cena can always win it again but we don't know how much longer Mark will be in wwe.

Now if he does win I'm sure not what they would do for Summerslam, a rematch between Cena and Henry might not be what they want for one of their top four ppvs since fans would have already seen it before. They had a triple threat last year so I kind of doubt that they'll do that again. I'm guessing that they'll want Cena in the wwe title match, since Punk is already probably facing Lesner I'm sure who else Cena would face. Then their is the possibility of the mitb winner being involved in the match as well.

I'm not sure what they're going to do for summerslam but I'd still love to see Henry win. I think he definitely deserves it and like I said before we don't know how much longer he going to be in wwe.

Pick: Mark Henry

Money in the Bank should be a very good ppv, most of the matches I'm exited to see and the two ladder matches should be especially good. Pro Wrestling Review: Recent TNA Releases

Welcome back to Pro Wrestling Review, first off I'd like to say happy fourth of July to everyone. Today I'm going to be talking about the recent tna releases. The releases were Joey Ryan, Christian York, Crimson, Madison Reign, and Tyler Hendrix so far that I know of. So I'm going to be talking about each one and giving my thoughts about them.

Joey Ryan

About this time last year Joey Ryan was the big thing in the IWC, after tna denied him a contract during gut check he started making shoot videos on his youtube channel and really got a lot of people behind him. He was kind of like the 2012 version of Zack Ryder. Then he eventually got a contract and came on as a heel teaming with Matt Morgan. That eventually dissolved and he didn't do much after. I think that tna really used him wrong, first off I would have brought him in as a face not heel since he had so much hype around him. Then I would have put him into a big midcard feud or a serious tag team. They should have done what ever they could to maintain all of his hype and they didn't do a very good job of that.

I think he definitely has a lot of talent, he just needs to be used right. I'm guessing now he'll go back to making shoot youtube videos, the indy scene and maybe eventually he'll work his way into wwe.

Crimson

When Crimson first came into tna he was undefeated for over a year but then about a year ago when James Storm ended his undefeated streak he wasn't seen on tv for about a year until a few weeks ago he returned. I was really surprised that they released him right after they just had him return, maybe they wanted to give him one more quick run before he left. I always kind of liked Crimson and I wish tna would would have done a little more with him.

Christian York

Christian York was probably the biggest thing to come out of gut check besides Joey Ryan, they really gave him a big push for a while too, having him in matches with world champions like Jeff Hardy and Bobby Roode. I liked him and for a while there the X divition was just basically RVD, Kenny King, Zema Ion and him and they put on some great matches together. Now that the X division has some more people in it again I think he could have been a big part of it and eventually won the X division title at some point. I'm really not sure why tna released him especially since they had just given him a big push.

Also this kind of makes the whole gut check thing pointless because they just released the two biggest people to come out of it Christian York and Joey Ryan. Out of all the people that were released Christian York was the one that I wish wouldn't have been the most.

Madison Reign

Madison Reign apparently is going to have a baby soon so it's not very surprising that she was released because she wants to go be a mother. She was kind of a big part of the knockouts and a former champion in tna.

Taeler Hendrix

I don't really know that much about Taeler Hendrix other than I know that she came out of gut check and to be honest I haven't really been keeping up tna as thoroughly these last few months just because it's gotten a little boring so I don't know much about her.
